EXTERIOR

Stunning, secluded solar run villa overlooking the quaint village of Playa Quemada. Spectacular views of the ocean and the mountains surrounding, make this a truly exceptional, tranquil location for people wanting to get away from all, though with all the local amenities near by. A 15 minute beautiful coastal walk brings you to the local international prestigious marina of Puerto Calero. Walk 900 metres to the village of Playa Quemada and swim at the local beaches and dine in some of Lanzarote’s most quaint restaurants overlooking the ocean.
The garden is absolutely beautiful and filled with cactus and local plant life. There are separate seating areas on both the large terrace and in the garden. Since we are outside any light polluted areas, the stars in the evening are spectacular. The sunsets over the mountains have to be seen. All of the garden and terrace area, with BBQ and huge dining table, all face the ocean. The house could not be more private. The closest neighbor is 900 meters away. The only time privacy is interrupted is if the goats are walking by and grazing outside the house perimeter. There is a garden entrance and the games room entrance. The garden entrance has huge pots with unusual cactus. There are also mature palm trees in the garden. The upper terrace with gas bbq has seating at a large teak table for 12 people. The lower terrace has sofa seating and there are four large teak lounge chairs as well as reclining chairs. Another seating area in the garden has a large bamboo sofa and two large chairs.
Coast/Beach

Travel
The house is a 15 minute drive from Arrecife airport. I do recommend a car since the fire mountains and national park are just behind the villa, though a 10 minute drive away. Playa Blanca and its local ferry to Fuerteventura is a 15 minute drive and the closest large supermarket is 10 minutes away.
Distances

Further details
900 metres to the village of Playa Quemada. The marina is within walking distance along the coast. Sailing competitions are often being held just in front of the villa which is a joy to watch. The villa is perfect for young and old, with lots of space. It is a 10 minute drive to the main resort of Puerto del Carmen with lots of shops and restaurants. There are also exclusive shops in the local marina. There are an array of excursions to choose from in the marina. I highly recommend the catamaran sailing with Catlanza and the submarine excursion with Submarine Safaris. Local management can tell you more about these trips. The fire mountains are nearby and well worth seeing. This really is a stunning villa with the islands most desirable location.

INTERIOR

Bedrooms: 1 super king, double bedroom and 2 single twin, one with sink unit.This villa sleeps up to 8 people in the main house and an additional 2 in the little house. There are five bedrooms in total.

Bathrooms: The main house also has two bathrooms and the little house has one bathroom. One extremely large bathroom with 2 by 2 sunken mosaic bath and double sink unit. The other bathroom has a fantastic wet room powerful shower.

Kitchen: Gas 6 ring hob, gas oven, fridge freezer, microwave, built in dishwasher. The hob is built into the 10 seating island with stainless steel island extractor. Beautiful views of the ocean through the kitchen window at the double built in sinks+washing tray.

Utility Room: The utility area has a washing machine if you should choose to use it.

Living Rooms: Family pack sky satellite TV. DVD player and music centre with wall mounted speaker system. There are three sofas as well a separate seating area with coffee table. Wonderful views to the garden and ocean from two full sides of the room!

Other: Games room has a billiard table for your use. All the bookshelves have loads of board games, puzzles, books, childrens’ books and about 200 dvds. The little house has one double bedroom, looking out to the ocean, with a living area, bathroom with bath.

Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: All linen and towels are provided. A collection of beach towels are also available for your use. The linen is changed weekly. A small welcome package is provided for your arrival. Local management are on call 24 hours a day.

This charming two-storey detached house is ideally located in a quiet cul-de-sac just minutes walk from the nearest supermarket, bars, restaurants and beaches. The property consists of four spacious bedrooms complete with ample built-in wardrobes, two bathrooms, spacious kitchen with breakfast table and separate dining room.

The villa has a certain home-from-home feel, with a spacious and comfortable lounge and stylish, modern and well equipped kitchen. On the ground floor are two double bedrooms with shower room. At the centre of the downstairs is a large formal dining area below an open atrium over which the galleried balcony on the first floor overlooks. Upstairs is a further double bedroom and twin bedroom, with full bathroom with bath and shower. Outside admire the beautiful mature gardens, eating and sunbathing area with a built in stone bbq. Additionally upstairs are two private terraces ideal for nude sunbathing or relax with a book in total peace and quiet.

This is a residential quiet area and close to shops, bars and beaches.

Interior

Downstairs are two bedrooms, one with kingsize bed and one with double bed. Upstairs are two further bedrooms, one with kingsize bed and one with twin beds. A nineth person can be accommodated on a “z bed” in any of the bedrooms or lounge.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee machine, microwave and built-in dishwasher. It has ample crockery, cutlery, glassware, and cooking equipment. The kitchen also has a breakfast dining area.

The formal dining area is overlooked by the upper gallery. This upper story, with two bedrooms also has two terraces where it is possible to sunbath in complete privacy.

The separate utility room has a washing machine and there is a large rotating clothes dryer.

The lounge is especially comfortable and stylish with flat screen tv complete with satellite system, and three large and comfortable sofas with coffee table. For formal dining there is a separate dining room.

Exterior

There are two steps leading up to the main entrance to the property, and from inside the house one step down into the pool and terrace area.

Set in private grounds there is a very pretty front garden with mature and established plants. The pool is heated and is accessed by a set of steps. The pool is 7 x 3.5 metres, depths 1.5 min and 1.7 max.

A built in coals bbq is available for your use, sunloungers and outside terrace furniture for al fresco dining.

We cannot recommend skiing in Lanzarote, but the villa is very close to local windsurfing and surf schools. Los Cucharas beach is very popular for water sports.

The award winning main beach of “Los Cucharas” beach is just a five minute walk away. This golden sandy beach is very safe for family bathing, and also hosts the annual world championship wind surfing competition.Transfer from the airport is just 15-20 minutes, we do not consider car hire essential for this villa.The nearby capital of Arrecife is just a short bus drive away, as is the neighbouring resorts of Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca. The new supermarket is only 5 minutes walk away from the villa.

Freshly laundered towels and linen are provided, with towels changed midweekly. For guests staying longer than 7 nights, there is a weekly maid service where linen is also changed and the bathrooms and floors etc are cleaned.

A helpful guide is in the property for guests use detailling places of interest, local amenities, booking of excursions and restaurant recommendations. We are on hand 24 hours a day in case of need or advice.

We ask for 40% to be paid on booking, with the remainder to be paid six weeks before departure. We are open to discounts for longer than two week bookings.Changeover day is flexible. Departure of the villa is 10am, and entry 2pm, although this can be flexible depending on neighbouring bookings. Please enquire at the time of booking.

This lovely villa is located on a residential development of new villas on the outskirts of Playa Blanca town centre. The resort centre is approximately a 10 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the villa to the nearest beach. There is a local supermarket just a 5 minute walk from the villa. In recent years Playa Blanca has grown from a traditional Canarian fishing village into a fashionable tourist resort and has retained a great deal of its original character. The beautiful Papagayo beaches are only a 10 minute drive away and are famous throughout Spain for their unspoilt location, golden sands and aquamarine, clear waters. The unspoilt Canarian villages of Las Brenas, El Golfo and Femes are only a short drive away, as is the volcanic national park of Timanfya. The master bedroom and dining room have walk out terrace doors onto the pool and the lovely garden. All of the bedrooms are accessed by the interior, open air central courtyard.

Interior

Master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi spa. The terrace doors lead out to the terrace. The shutter doors can be kept closed to allow the breeze to pass through, while keeping the room secure at night. A ceiling fan is above the bed.

En-suite bath is very spacious and has a bidet, jacuzzi, glassed in shower and double sinks.
Another large bathroom has a double walk-in shower and double sinks.
The third smaller bathroom has a shower and sink.

The kitchen is fully equipped with cooker, hob, fridge/freezer, microwave and built-in dishwasher. It also has rotating cupboards and good quality crockery throughout.

The utility room leads off from the kitchen with a washing machine and drying area.

Bright, spacious living room feels lovely after a hard day relaxing by the pool! Leather sofas and large leather chair help to make this room feel cozy and comfortable. The apex ceiling also lends to the feeling of spaciousness.

The dining room has terrace doors leading straight out to the BBQ and pool area. The Satellite television, internet connection, compact stereo and DVD player are all located in the living room for your enjoyment.

All bath towels and linen are provided. There is a weekly maid service in which we change all the linen and towels and give a clean of the property. There is also a towel change in the middle of the week. Other services are available on request.

Outside

Enjoy established palm trees and other lush plant life in our garden. A terrace set of wooden table and chairs and umbrella makes for a welcome alternative to eating indoors. The large pool, with roman steps is 6 by 3 meters. 8 fabric based lounge chairs are easily placed to where you are most likely to enjoy the sun.2km to the nearest beach. The resort centre is approximately a 15 minute walk or 2 minute drive from the villa and the nearest beach, Playa Flamingo, is about the same distance and is extremely popular with families due to its shallow, calm nature.

Travel

A car is recommended but is not considered essential for this accommodation. The Arrecife airport is about a half hour drive to Playa Blanca and taxis are available at the airport.

There is a local supermarket just a five minute walk from the villa. 35km from the airport. 2km to the nearest restaurant.

Further details

The pretty harbour of Playa Blanca is the departure point for many excursions including trips to the neighbouring islands of Fuerteventura and Los Lobos. A water taxi is also available to take people to Papagayo beaches. The recently opened, Puerto Rubicon Marina is a ten minute drive from the villa and is the location of many exclusive boutiques, bars and restaurants. Several excursions, including a catamaran trip depart from the Marina. Playa Blanca is approximately a 40 minute transfer from the airport. We have a helpful book in the villa which outlines interesting places to go as well as specific clues and tips for the use of the villa.

If the booking is made within 6 weeks of arrival, the full balance needs to be paid at the time of booking. Otherwise, a 40% deposit is required at the time of booking.
